We measure the length of the eye – and track its development.
Focus on myopia. Understand its development.
MEASURE → ANALYZE → TRADE
Refraction, axial length and keratometry – all in one system.
With the OCULUS Myopia Master®, we capture the crucial measurements for modern myopia management directly in a single examination. In addition to current visual acuity, we also measure the axial length of the eye and the corneal radii. This allows us not only to see how nearsighted a child is today, but also to specifically monitor their development over a longer period.
This is especially important for children: because it's not just the current diopter value that matters. Factors such as heredity, intensive close work, little time spent outdoors, and the individual development of the eye can also influence how nearsightedness progresses.
Fast. Contactless. Child-friendly.
The measurement with the Myopia Master® only takes a few minutes, is contactless and painless.
This creates an understandable trend from individual measurements – as a basis for personal consultation and the decision as to which measures may be beneficial for your child.
"We don't just measure visual acuity. We observe how the eye develops."

From measurement to personal myopia control
Measure precisely. Understand development. Act in a timely manner.

Scientifically based myopia management
Myopia management today is not based solely on the current eyeglass prescription.
It is also crucial how the eye changes during growth.
International research and professional societies therefore recommend regularly monitoring the development of myopia in children and selecting appropriate measures individually.
3 scientific studies on the topic of myopia and prevention of progression
1. Axis length and myopia progression – LIFE Child Study, Leipzig
Truckenbrod et al.: Longitudinal analysis of axial length growth in a German cohort of healthy children and adolescents (2021). The study included 1,965 children and adolescents between 3 and 18 years of age, with a total of 4,511 examinations. The work generates age-related growth curves for axial length and concludes that axial length, or its percentiles, can be used to assess the development and progression of myopia. The study was conducted by, among others, the University of Leipzig and the University of Tübingen.
"The axis length is an important parameter for assessing the development of a child's eye over time."
2. Orthokeratology in myopia management – German 10-year evaluation
Hanenberg, Becker & Sickenberger: Retrospective data analysis of the 10-year effect of Ortho-K lenses on the development of myopia in Caucasian children and adolescents (2025). The study originates from, among others, the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena and a German contact lens institute. Thirty children and adolescents aged 10–17 years were evaluated over a long observation period. The authors report low myopia progression during Ortho-K treatment. [The following sentence appears to be unrelated and possibly a fragment: "The study can be used to analyze the development and progression of myopia."] This study originates from, among others, the University of Leipzig and the University of Tübingen.
"German long-term data also indicate that orthokeratology can contribute to controlling myopia progression."
3. Outdoor time, close work and other risk factors – LIFE Child Leipzig
Philipp et al.: The relationship between myopia and near work, time outdoors and socioeconomic status in children and adolescents (2022). This is also a German LIFE Child study from the University of Leipzig. Over 1,400 children and adolescents between the ages of 3 and 18 were examined. Less frequent outdoor activity and longer periods of near work were statistically associated with myopia.
“Besides genetic factors, everyday life and visual habits also play a role. German data show correlations between myopia, longer periods of close work and low outdoor activity.”

Today, tomorrow and
in the future!
Night lenses are a gentle and safe way for children to see clearly during the day, without glasses or contact lenses!
As nearsightedness increases, it is important to keep the long-term effects on eyesight in mind.
Using night lenses early on helps provide the perfect solution for your children's vision.
Take advantage of this opportunity for a clear future!
